This is a instructional video on alternative method to Clean Printer Head In HP Photosmart Printers.
This video is done with HP Photosmart C5180 printer, but it will work will all printers that use HP 02 ink Cartridges.
This method can also work on other printers that have refillable ink tanks like Epson and Canon Printers

First Think you will need is a set of refillable Ink cartridge. You can purchase them from eBay fairly cheap, just remember to make sure that the ink tanks have self rest chips as some inks do not come with the chip.
2nd we will need to create a cleaning solution. There is more than one option
1st cleaning solution is ammonia and Alcohol
2nd cloning solution is Windex original and Alcohol. (this solution will work but it is not my favorite because it will create bubbles in tanks and they can get into the ink system and create ink system failure.
You can add the solution to the empty tanks and insert them into the printer.
You will need to print around 50-100 full color pages and adding cleaning solution in between.
Once you print over 50 pages you will want to empty the tanks and add good ink into the cartridges.
After you replaced all the tanks with ink. You will began to print around 30-60 pages with adding ink in between the process. This is so that we can flash the Cleaning solution from the printer.
Once that is done you should be all set.
Please not that This will not always work. I spend over 5 hours doing this so you may want to ask your self if you want to waist your time and money to do this. You would be probably better of just getting a new printer.

As the electronics in the HP74, HP75 (or HP74XL / HP75XL) ink cartridges and the printer communicate with each other, sometimes the printer will incorrectly identify an ink cartridge as empty or non-functional. These error messages can appear as PC screen messages, printer LCD display messages, or as blinking lights on the printer. Depending on your Photosmart C4200 — C4500 & C5200 — C5500 series printer model and type of error condition, please review printer bypass/clear procedures as the button selections vary slightly between printer models. In many cases the ink cartridge may have internal electrical damage and may need to be replaced — refer to printer Tap 41 diagnostic test procedures for advanced cartridge health diagnosis.
HP 74 / 75 ink cartridges which have been newly refilled and installed into the HP printer may produce ’printer shutdown’ error messages which prohibit print operations (i.e. Incompatible print cartridges, Cartridges problem, Installed incorrectly, Print Cartridges Missing or Not Detected, Cartridge in slot on left/right is not intended for use in this product, Refer to printer documentation: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=536
For severe cartridge error messages which prohibit printing it is suggested you run an internal self test print or the cartridge health diagnostic’s Tap 41 test print to evaluate whether or not the ink cartridge is electrically damaged (i.e. internal micro-electronics).

Print from your wireless laptop using a printer attached to your networked desktop PC
I used my laptop and my networked desktop computer to illustrate how to print wirelessly from your laptop. Once you enable «printer sharing» in your desktop PC and «add a printer» in your laptop, you would be able to print from your laptop cable free. The networked desktop PC and the printer naturally have to on for this to work.

I am back with a whole load of videos for you and today I shall be reviewing the HP Photosmart 7520 All-in-one Printer. This printer features many new features such as the HP ePrint service, in which when you can email your documents/photos to the printers personal email address and it will automatically print it. Another feature is AirPrint, this means that you can now wirelessly print of your iPad, iPhone or iPod. Overall it is a very good wireless printer with many very useful features that you probably won’t even notice it had until you use the printer! Very good printer at a very good price!

The quality and speed in which this printer completes a task is amazing. Though the ink can be costly it lasts so you get what your paying for. I am excited to share this awesome find. If you are looking for a great all in one, this is it! Price $ 100-$150. I purchased mine online through AAFES.
