ASM Hydrasynth Keyboard Preset Sounds

The new Ashun Sound Machines (ASM) Hydrasynth keyboard is an eight-voice synth with rich options for sound design: with Wave Scanning oscillators, sound shaping via multiple Mutators, two flexible filters per voice, and a fully-thought-out effects section, Hydrasynth is a sound designer's dream.
It offers full polyphonic aftertouch, a large ribbon controller, and an intense arpeggiator with randomness and ratcheting built in. And of course, the modulation section is formidable: five complex envelopes, five complex LFOs, CV/Gate I/O and a 32-path modulation matrix make it possible to create everything from classic key sounds to evolving generative soundscapes.

I just picked up my new Korg Minilogue XD, and for my money it sounds fantastic. One of my rituals with a new synth is to go through the presets when I first take it out and see what jumps out at me. Some presets make you want to fiddle, some you want to skip, and some are instantly inspiring. I love what Korg has been doing for synths over the last few years, everything from Gadget to the Volca line to the Mini and Monologues. This new Minilogue XD is no exception. It sounds fantastic and huge. Im still learning the synth, but these are 17 presets that just popped right out at me and made me feel like I made the right choice picking this up. I set up my camera and just went through the whole synth, and cut the presets that didn't jump out at me. Forgive my playing as this was just one long video cut up, and most of it is just little jams here and there.

ASM Hydrasynth Desktop Standalone And With Eurorack
ASM's Hydrasynth comes in a keyboard version as well as this desktop version. The pads are velocity and polyphonic aftertouch sensitive and they can be laid out in a chromatic mode, fretboard mode or octave mode where only the notes of the current scale are playable.
Both versions of the Hydrasynth have CV ins and outs which can be used to control or sync eurorack gear to the Hydrasynth. The CV inputs are even audio rate so you can run external sounds into the Hydrasynth with them.
