KX2 and mcHF QRP side by side listening on 20m
I was asked if I could do a quick side by side of the two rigs on the bands, so here is a crude quick test using my windom and the Elecraft KX2 and the mcHF QRP Chinese Clone.

The brand new Xiegu X5105 HF/6 metre 5 watt QRP transceiver
The brand new Xiegu X5105 from XieGu tech in China.. A little explanation of this awesome HF 6 metre transceiver..Xiegu has now upped their game with this finished version X5105.. If you look through my earlier videos you will see I had the preproduction version that they sent me to bug and fault find..
Well it didn't quite make it any further than that, after the bugs and faults were reported they went back to the drawing board and what followed that were delays and more delays..Now we know why, they really have upped their game with this new release, they went back to the drawing board and did some redesigning, and added more and more features..
When I received the production version a few days ago, I never in a million years expected to see and hear what was in front of me.. The New updated Xiegu X108G
A short clip of the updated Xiegu X108G on 20 metres..The improvement on receive is far better as this video shows..And no preamp was needed either and the S meter appearsto be reading as it should be when this was recorded...

I assembled mcHF v0.6 complete kit.
And programmed by bootloader v0.0.0.14, firmware 1.6.0.

Elecraft K2 CW SSB Ham Radio Transceiver Fathers Day Gift 2015 N6tlu
Today, I stepped into the K2 arena. Up to this point I have always ran Ten Tec qrp. The K2 looks to be a great upgrade. I bought the rig from a fellow Ham W8BUD. Honest person with a golden heart. I hope to make some contacts on it soon. Happy Fathers day to all form N6tlu.
