Pocket Operator Modular System 400, 170 & 16 Synthesizers & Sequencers

Август 14, 2019

Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator Modular System includes the 400, a yellow synthesizer with 3 oscillators, noise generator filter and sequencer. The 170 is a smaller synthesizer than the 400 with just a single oscillator, but it includes a powerful sequencer. and touch keyboard. The 16 is just the sequencer and touch keyboard by itself.

For this video we added some drums with the PO-32 Tonic. The Pocket Operator Modular System easily syncs with Pocket Operators and can also run on batteries.

Shakmat Four Bricks Rook Sequencer With Future Retro Transient Plus

Shakmat Modular's Four Bricks Rook is a fast to program sequencer for up to four drums with interesting editing options. In this video we used it to sequence Future Retro's Transient Plus which is a powerful drum synthesizer module with built in presets and randomization. The Transient Plus has analog modulation and synthesis algorithms even though it is a digital module.

The other drums used were the Befaco Kickall, WMD Crucible and Tiptop SD 808 snare. We used the Future Retro Trax sequencer to program the Erica Synths Bassline synth module. Effects and mixing are done with Erica Synths modules and the Noise Engineering Kith Ruina is dirtying up the snare drum.

Teenage Engineering PO Modular 400 + 16 + OP-1

“I feel the sun..dance to the sounds of my mind..”

In today’s explorations, I am truly proud of my BELOVED "OPoe16"
which is the (OP-1 PO 400 16) My portable dream team.

This track is called “I Feel The Sun” it symbolises a turn of emotions for me, lyrics and music-wise its been months of particularly dark ambient vibes (yes even darker than my usual dark ambient feels) but I’m feeling a little lighter, seeing a new perspective too, so this track, my music, always exposes my current real time feels inside that I just can't talk about but thank you all for being here for me, for your comments and encouragement, you have no idea how much you have lifted my spirits 🙏 I’m grateful to you Fam.

Also, huge thank you to all who saw a sneak peak of this in my stories and are excited where these explorations take us. I just love @teenageengineering, it’s really changed the way I make music and I’m always curious to see where deep diving into the gears takes me. It’s always somewhere new and I’m grateful for that. Let’s stay curious and keep keeping on together 🙏

8ban - mini playable Vinyl Records from Japan

A look at eightban. Collectable, playable mini records from 2004. A deliberately, unashamedly low-fi format.

******CORRECTION******
Yes the blue tape is Masking Tape not Gaffers Tape. What an amazing gaff — it's probably going to be on a compilation of the most unbelievable mistakes ever made in an improvised youtube voice-over. Perhaps I should start writing scripts and fact checking them, but no... that's not my style....I'm going to keep freestyling straight from the top of the dome, spitting lyrics straight from my bald patch. Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong...but they are always funky fresh. I'm out of here like last year.
