This is a very detailed video that explains how to hack a WPA/WPA2 encrypted wifi router. I am using a dictionary attack for this video. I am using Backtrack 5 however if you are still using backtrack 4, the commands will still work. Using a wordlist, dictionary, or password list does not guarantee that you will be able to successfully hack a WPA/WPA2. If the password is not in your «List» then its not going to work. This video is for beginners and for people who really want to understand how this works.

This is a tutorial on how to dual boot windows and backtrack.
To do this you will first need a copy of windows installed on your computer and you will also need to download and burn to a disk a copy of backtrack live cd.
ok first boot into the live cd and open up a shell.

in this video i will show u how to install backtrack 5 on virtualbox it is very easy just follow these instructions my microphone was not working properly:
1. search google for backtrack 5
2. download from backtrack website dosent matter if u pick gnome or kde both the same to install i prefer backtrack 5 kde looks cooler but in video i downloaded gnome when downloading find out if pc is 32 or 64 bit and download appropriate version my pc is 64 bit most are 32 bit http://www.backtrack-linux.org/downloads/
3. download virtualbox from http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
4. install virtualbox
5. press new machine
6. click on linux and select ubuntu 64 bit or ubuntu 32 bit if u have 32 bit pc
7. choose amount of ram i suggest using 2gb
8. then create new harddisk and select how big u want it to be
9. then press power on and choose the place where u downloaded backtrack 5 and then thats about it and later if u want to u can install it onto your virtual harddrive
10. just enter startx when the command line page comes up

To Try Backtrack 5 R3 boot into the USB Drive.
Boot Order:
You might need to change the boot order on your system to boot off the USB drive and not the local hard drive. Watch when your computer is booting up. Some systems will allow you to select the boot order without entering the BIOS by pressing a Function key (ie F9, F10, F12, ECS). Other systems require you to enter the BIOS to change the boot order.

Hacking Windows Vista & Windows 7 Computers
Using Backtrack 5 and Armitage we use a social engineering method to get our victims to go to a link from there the victim will have to give permission for the exploit to run on there computer when the victim allows the exploit to run the victims system will show up on Armitage with lighting on the displayed hosts.
Reality people won’t go to a link so you will have to figure a way to get them to go to that link and this has to be done over a Wireless network and wont work if your not connected to the network the victim is on.

Backtrack 5- (Dual Boot)
—-IMPORTANT—-
Once you reboot your computer tap F12 it should bring up a menu to boot from
choose the one that says «USB blah blah blah» i forgot what the rest was. Once you do that choose the default for the next menu. Once you can enter something type «startx» then it should start, after you want to make sure to install BT5 on to your computer. Or you can just use the usb as a LiveUSB, once you install it you can choose how much room you want it to take up and just about every other thing you want it to do.
