if you leave an inkjet cartridge sitting in your printer without using it for several time, it can clog. The clog occur when ink on the printhead of the cartridge dries up and won’t allow additional ink to pass by.
If the printer head nozzles are blocked or dried out, you will need to dissolve the dried ink.
Use these methods only on cartridges with the head built into the cartridge, Like hewlett packard, samsung, and most of canon and lexmark.
Do not use in epson cartridges, brother, and canon cartridges without printhead.
it would be useless. in this type of printer, the printhead is in the printer.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Simultaneously press both the X button and the power button and hold
2. (NOT simultaneously) press BLUE button then GREEN button then GRAY button (in that order)
3. using blue (or grey) button, scroll-seek to the «information menu» — press OK button
4. press grey button once for «checksum for relock data input» — press OK button
5. press (X) repeatedly until you return to the normal main menu

How to fix a HP Printer, not printing black ink and missing colours.

If your HP Printer isn’t printing black and missing colours. You need to clean your print heads with water under the tap as shown.

To do this take out the printer head unit which holds the Ink Cartridges in the printer. This simply unclips from the printer. There is no need to waste your ink trying to clean heads as this just wastes your coloured ink and makes the situation worse because it adds to the build up of dried ink on the print head. Typically the black is first to go as this is the most used ink cartridge.

I spent hours going out of my mind trying to find a solution that didn’t require me buying anything from anybody. As it wasn’t easy to find this simple solution I thought I’d share it with you on YouTube. Hope it helps.

If you no longer have your printers manual go to the HP website and look up your printer manual and you can download it in a.pdf file.

Switch the Printer ON by pressing the Power Button (Make Sure Paper is not Loaded)
STEPS:
Once switched on, hold down the Power Button (DO NOT RELEASE)
Now press the Cancel Button and let go of it
Now Release the Power Button
Wait...
The INK LED will light up, After a while it will attempt to print a sheet but because there is no paper the resume button will blink
Now press cancel
You have completed the steps and now should be able to print if not attempt this again from STEPS 1-7

Reset HP expired printer ink

THIS IS FOR HP battery type of printers only. Even with a battery, some printers might not work. If this doesn’t work you may try disconnecting all the connectors on the circuit board for an hour or look for a software reset method. Even though I collect lots of HP printers as a hobby, I’m clueless about most of them.

This video is how to reset the ink on your HP printer. There’s no need to dissemble the printer to get to the battery. A long pair of tweezers to pull the CMOS battery out from its casing for a short time will work just fine. Some printers may not keep time by using the battery alone.
