So you got the JD-Xi and you wonder how you enable song mode? Well this video goes into depth about the solution Roland gave for a "song mode". For some weird reason they chose to omit song mode as a creation feature but include a vast amount of parameters and a sequencer that would lead one to create a song. Roland always chooses to make strange decisions with their modern products. What new product will omit what feature? Will it only have 4 voices instead of 6? Only 16 patches of memory….in 2016? Omit the envelope amount knob on a TB-3. The list goes on and on. What a strange company. They design the future…by emulating the past…and omitting features! Enjoy!
