Four Days of Making Hay.
First cut hay is ready to be harvested. Which is perfect, because I'm almost out of feed for the sheep.
Hay can be stressful for me. Stuff breaks. Logistics wrapped around a brutal spring hasn't helped with lining up help, equipment and the bagger.
But we managed to get the entire field off hours before the forecasted rain.

5 Days and 2 Ways of Making Hay (SECOND CUT HAY (2019)
Hard to believe we are at second cut hay already. A good crop that gave us enough to fill a bag (120’X10’) and even a little extra so we could attempt to make dry hay also!
We started this year with zero inventory for sheep feed, and it can be stressful when you’ve got some big events happening in the flock where nutrition is not only critical, but transitioning to new feed can lead to issues.
Feeling very blessed to get a decent crop off, with very minimal rain since first cut and so happy the whole family was there to help get it off.
We rent a bagger for our harvested hay, and custom hire out the baling and wrapping to a couple great local guys.
In this video, Mark runs the harvester, I run the bagger. Jack ran wagons, and Jess raked and helped collect bales.
Great way to spend a weekend with your kids right??

Hier ist mein neues Video! :D
Dieses mal ein reines DJI (Drohne) Video, da es von vielen der Wunsch war.
Zu sehen sind 2 Betriebe mit bei der Heuernte.
Der erste Betrieb war unterwegs mit dem altbekannten Steyr 8130 und dem neu lackierten Pöttinger Ladeprofi 4.
Es sind sind zwei Lüfter mit jeweils 11 und 15 Kw zur Heutrocknug installiert.
Der Zweite Betrieb besitzt einen MF 5445 und einen Pöttinger Ladeprofi 4.
Beide Betriebe arbeiten mit einer Entfeuchtungsanlage.
