X5105 KX3 KX2 and FT817 on 17 meter SSB Nov 27 2017
Just one more video for some of you folks to play some head to head of radio's.
Here I use the Elecraft's KX3 and KX2 as well as the FT817 against the Xiegu X5105.
In the end I think the Ft817 even without a tuner sounded a bit louder but band cdx were dropping fats tonight on 17 meters.
I enjoy all aspects of the outdoors, be it hiking, biking, hunting, fishing or canoeing.
Camping and survival are two skills I continually try and work on and stay ready and practiced
In the event these lifesaving skills are required.
I have had many teachers in my life and appreciate all that they have taught me, and I try to do the same thing.
Amateur radio is also one of my hobbies and past time, and it as well has taught me lots and has helped me meet people around the world.
Family is of course the most important aspect of my life and has brought me the most enjoyable memories in life.

Elecraft KX2 : Receive Tips and Tweaks
Tips and tweaks about how to improve your receive audio on the Elecraft KX2. These tips apply mostly to the noisy 40m band. When on 15m, or 20m, I often find using the preamp, in conjunction with receive EQ and RF gain, are better options.

A look at the Elecraft KPA1500 - July 2018
Here is a look at the Elecraft KPA1500. As of the time of publishing this, July 2018, there are no You Tube videos showing it operational and on the air. So, I guess I'll do one...and here it is. This video isn't a review per se', but rather a decent look at this solid state legal-limit amplifier.
