Abandoned Excavator left in woods for 16 years- Will it start ??
A Hitachi UH043 excavator broke down 16 years ago and was abandoned in the middle of a trail on a steep slope in my neighbors forest.
My neighbor wanted it out of the way so he can use the trail again, he said I can have the excavator for scrap metal so I went to investigate.

British Colombia, Canada. Life here is all about the forest. At the heart of the economy is the wood that teams of lumberjacks cut from the immense forest. Their job is a dangerous one: if they don’t take it seriously, it could take their lives.
We join the men as they battle 6 metre wide trees, 200km an hour winds and a slippy terrain that is also home to grisly bears. They put their lives on the line but they would not want to do anything else.
After being cut down the enormous logs must be transported on a tugboat across an unforgiving sea. We follow the journey of the trees from forest to factory. A rare glimpse at some stunning Great White North landscapes and one of the toughest jobs on the planet.

Думаю, ещё из детства многим знаком звук подобной бензопилы, как наши отцы и деды пилили во дворе, а потом часами ковырялись в ней:) Некоторые из этих пил служат до сих пор. Они просты в обслуживании и неприхотливы. В своё время они были незаменимы.
Бензопила "Дружба" в массовом производстве с 1955 года.

Building A Block Wall

There is something mesmerizing about watching a mason build a block wall. There is something about the way they lay that mud on the block, and how smooth and natural they make it happen. Masonry is a classic example of something that looks a lot easier than it actually is. The weight of the blocks, the task of balancing mud on the trowel, and the mandatory precision make this is a really challenging trade — at least if you want to do it at a high level. The good news is that the process is simple and if you have some time and patience, anyone can learn it and make a nice product. I would recommend starting on a smaller size job though!
In this video we cover the entire process of building a block wall. This project starts at the footing excavation and rebar placement, and finishes with grouting the new 8ft tall, 1350 ft long wall.
These masons did a great job on this wall, and we are quite pleased. On any job of this size there will be some speed bumps, but this crew handled everything with professionalism and mutual respect.
