So here we have a new 572XP working on a nice second growth redwood that is seen hanging over the neighbors property.
Maiden voy-ahge after it was on the operating table for a serious saw shop make over. Going to have to adjust the flow in the carb at idle I was noticing.
Sporting a 32" Oregon liteweight bar but the chain is a little slow, since this was the first "coasty" grind after a switch up from the inland configuration.
@ ~ 7:20 felt the wind pick up and had a "looksee" around.
@ ~ 9/10ish we are watching the pressure gauge go the 12.5/13k psi so that was interesting.
Overall, a solid performance from a lite-middle weight.
A special thanks to Mr. Townsend from across the pond for allowing me to have his saw for a stretch!

So here we are on the Essex Ranch again in the fatty redwoods.
Always a pleasure working with my buddy Chris — who gives the thumbs up for the outcome.
This takes awhile, but, not interested in speed due to the value of the tree.
Noticed a nice rift crack in the jack seat as well.
Managed to stretch her right out with the aid of Chris setting up the lay perfectly — always nice to have a Cat at your disposal!
Using my standard insane-o 064 sporting a 3' Stihl lightweight bar with Oregon full skip, full chisel chain. Seems as though the chain took a hit ripping the two apart.

Shot in the spring as the bark is beginning to swell so we are having to clean out the cut continually. This is the first test drive on an insane-o-ized Husqvarna 562 fresh out of the shop sporting a 32" Oregon liteweight bar and hogging the wood. Doesn't seem to have any problems pulling this length of chain on a fatty red.

A lot dialog in this one comparing the 572 to it's "arch rival", the 462, in a real world application.
Not a big tree but, it had some length to it. You could see that the top took out the brush on the other side of the road at least another 120' out there.
Redwoods are world renowned for being a tall species since one, somewhere, always holds the world record for height of any living tree.
I like the 572xp is certain applications. This would be one of them.

A little follow up on the Cherry 038 Mag carb adjustment video...
I had resurrected this box-o-parts for an old school Husky fun session.
We "kilt" a few trees around and above the landing before heading down the hill (where the "Popping One Off The Stump was filmed).
I get questions on the what/how sometimes. So here it is in "real time" — because "you" asked.
As mentioned, were are sporting a torque tune for this build. This is also corroborated by the lowish 15.9k upper rpm limit where there is still a slight miss at high idle.
Playn around with jetting until getting where it sounded best and low 'n' behold, it cuts the "mostest".
A little bound up on the handle bar on the small log in the last two runs. Totally free in the last wizz and moving right along for a work saw.

So the volume through the GoPro protective cover is a little muted, unfortunately.
Attempting this when not having some time under one's belt might prove to be a problem. The SafetyCrats are going to be perplexed I imagine.
And as stated, looks like a beaver was gnawing on the undercut... I personally don't care how long it takes me to get the undercut out. I will get it to where it needs to be no matter how much time is spent.
Reiterating, pretty common practice to fell the doubles/triples/quadruples/etc. in redwood country this way.
Cutting the front tree/s up/off completely and using it's weight to leverage/counter act the back lean/limb weight of the back tree/s forward so that the wedging/jacking component is lessened or even canceled out. What a guy is hoping will happen is that the tree/s your cutting under/off will hang on the entire time.
Do they always, not hardly. We see the evidence here. It is impossible to tell which tree/s will have a strong enough bond where they fused until in the end as a side note. So it is important to have your "feelers out".....
In this strip is the maiden voy-age for the 281 seen here. Psy-Ko-ized for kicks. Seems to be moving right along so I'm well pleased with it's performance.
Thanks for watching.

Still in the second day of the first test drive with the 572XP Husky so it is in the same state of tune. And yes, there is a slight stumble off idle. Also as previously mentioned, once it gets back into all oem original form it should straighten out a bit.
As stated, the wind was picking up and I was watching the needle on the Silvey moving up and down. So I'm lifting it a little on the slow side as the wind is also working it.
The landowner was providing traffic control for the operation as seen when I panned toward the West — a big thanks there.
The 572XP is Psy-Ko-ized and pulls this 32" bar nicely. On loan from Mr. Townsend from across the pond. Doing my best to wear it out for him — haha. A special tanks there!

"Husqvarna's next legendary chainsaw" is here, to use their own words. The 572 XP is a professional falling saw in the 70cc segment and the big competitor of the Stihl 462. We made a review of the Stihl 462 as well which you can find here: https://youtu.be/6XJSekItbUQ
We generally only try to reply to comments the first 24 hours after the video aired due to the amount of comments we receive. Feel free to get in touch with us via facebook or email.
